Holy cow!

Hi all, long time no see... I am somewhat ashamed when I look back on the last entry date. It's been a while--a couple of months anyhow. Hope you all are doing well! Things are way good here which is partly why I'm remiss in keeping the web-site up to date.

On the comics side, I'm happy to say that I'm still plugging away on Awesome Kitty Kingdom. I had originally hoped to finish chapter three much earlier, set a new target date of May 13th (which I'm not probably going to make but who knows), and now I'm tentatively saying the end of May. I'm currently working on page 17 of this 32 page story--I dare say I think you're going to like it. For one thing, we *finally* get a little more air time on Darlene, Myuryu (the main character's) girlfriend. She's a fun character to draw. Anyhow, stay tuned!

In other news, the Japan Bowl came and went and John Peters and I hosted the Manga events room again which, although not well attended, was quite thoroughly enjoyed by those who did attend. The T-shirt was finished and I will try to post that up on the site here pretty quick. I've done a few other sketches and strips which I need to get up at some point as well.

I've got tons of new ideas for little tweaks I plan on doing to the website -- I'm looking forward to taking advantage to all the cool new features in the Django web framework. Don't hold your breath on these though as my main focus is (where it should be) on comics.

I don't have a good track record for predicting dates, but I'll go ahead and announce my thoughts here anyway. I'm planning on having book one of Awesome Kitty Kingdom completed by the Nan Desu Kan Colorado Anime convention. When I say book, I don't mean the typical 32-page comic book (which I've done), but I'm talking a good beefy 200 page manga book. Here's wishing me luck!

Lastly, I'll leave you by saying I've recently gotten into SCUBA diving. I took my pool classes and am going to do my open water dives this weekend. I'm totally loving it and will hopefully be able to incorporate some more realistic water scenes into my comics from the experience! Best wishes to all!
