Hello all. I must say it's nice having this new web interface because at least I can write blog entries from work now (although I should be out running--still a little too chilly and snowy for my taste, though... hey, I grew up in the desert--give me a break). All in all, the new website revamp is handy though I must admit there are still a few quirks (the computer generated "latest artwork" text on this page, for instance, sounds a little "unnatural"). However, since I've crested that "80% good" level, I'm less inclined to fix these little things because of the extra time commitment involved...

So ANYWAY, on to comics. As of Sunday, I finished "version one" of another Awesome Kitty Kingdom comic. This issue was prompted by my mother who read my other stories but asked, "How do you pronounce all those crazy names?" So, this issue is the "Awesome Kitty Kingdom Pronunciation Guide". I got some good feedback from my quality control agents at Squid Works (thanks guys!) and will be implementing those changes. Otherwise, some general toning and more details in some of the panels (adding backgrounds, etc.) and I'll be done. I may have a nice sketch to throw up on the site as well. So, look for an update this coming week (I hope!).

I've set a goal for myself to have one publication per month which will allow me to amass enough materials to go to press on a manga-sized graphic novel come August-September time frame so wish me luck (and feel free to kick me in the butt if I'm not producing).

One closing thought, I just heard this morning on NPR that Moscow is having unseasonably warm weather and hasn't had any snow. That's highly unusual. On the flip side, Denver has definitely been colder than I've experienced in the 6 years I've been here. So my question is, are we seeing statistically significant evidence of global climate change with these incidents? I always hope not but at the same time, the sooner we can get our fannies in gear and addressing these global issues, the better. Cheers!
